L’établissement se compose de six appartements spacieux et joliment décorés ; qui se situent dans un endroit calme avec une vue panoramique sur le golfe de Souda : C’est l’ idéal pour ceux qui cherchent des moments de détente et de relaxation ; dans un environnement agréable.
Les appartements sont très facile d accès puisque ils sont à 14km du port de Souda et à 27km de l’aéroport international de la Canée Ils sont le point du départ le plus approprié pour commencer vôtres explorations touristiques vers la Crête du Sud comme vers la Crête de l’Ouest.

Wenn man draußen auf der Terrasse frühstücken wollte, hatte man einen direkten Blick aufs Meer. Der Weg zum Supermarkt war mit dem Auto keine 5 Minuten entfernt, und war auch sehr gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Trotz Nähe zur Stadt war man durch einige Häuserreihen vor der Ferienwohnung gut genug abgeschottet vom Treiben und Lärm, wobei der schöne Blick aufs Meer durch die obere Hanglage des Hauses einem nicht versagt blieb! Ideal gelegen für viele Ausflugsziele, von ganz im Westen der Insel (Elafonisi ca 1,5h mit dem Auto) bis Mitte ganz im Süden der Insel (Preveli ca 1h mit dem Auto) und sehr viele andere schöne Strände und Wandermöglichkeiten dazwischen ☺️ Die Ferienwohnung würden wir auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!!read less

She checked in with us every day without being annoying, she had the best recommendations for Kalyves and the surrounding villages and the whole area of Chania. We were so satisfied by that! She also made sure the cleaning is on the right day so that it fits our plans and could answer every question we had. Also, Kalyves is a nice little village and we got everything we needed from the lots of little stores (small supermarkets, butcher, bakery etc.) on the main street, which was just around the corner. The apartment was easy to find and also had a parking spot for our rented car. All in all, it couldn't have been any better, I would highly recommend this stay!read less

Natasa and the hosts were absolutely fantastic, we informed them of our poor experience at the other apartment, and they had the heating ready for us to arrive. We spent up to New years Eve there, and Natasa was great asking how we were getting on and recommending her favourite restaurants open out of season as well as the gifts of wine, fruit and treats. There is a fantastic cake bakery at the bottom of the drive that we use all the time when in Kalyves. Apartments are great size and modern. The location is great and easy to walk into town. Some parking spaces are available, but if not, parking is available nearby. The TV had Netflix installed so we could plug into our account during the evenings. We're very grateful to Avra for their hospitality.read less

A lovely apartment and location. Newly remodeled, the apartment was very nicely furnished and appointed. We began each morning with coffee and a great view of the sea. Avra Apartment was perfect for the relaxed vacation we were looking for. Close to beaches, restaurants and shops. The apartment had more utilities than expected and was very clean and nicely decorated. Stelios and Natasa are wonderful hosts, we felt like home there! Would come back easily!

As an animal lover it was hard to see the dog in the side street, chained 24 hours a day, at a garage where no-one was outside work hours. it was disturbing. But this had nothing to do with the appartement. Be aware that the street going through the city is narrow and cars and motorcycles is going fast, walk along the waterfront until you cant anymore.read less

When we arrived late in the evening the host was waiting for us with warm welcome, there was mineral water in the fridge, fresh fruits and a bottle of great wine (small things but so nice). The hosts care about the guests so the atmosphere is so nice, I highly recommend Avra aparments and Kalyves town. Super ausgestattetes Apartment mit vielen Extras. Küche ist mehr als vollständig, man kann super selbst verpflegen. Schöner Blick aufs Meer von der Terrasse. Fußläufig sind Supermärkte, 2 Strände, Bäcker etc. zu erreichen. Strandutensilien wie Schirme, Matten und Co können kostenlos ausgeliehen werden - super hilfreich! Stelios und Natasa sind tolle Gastgeber!

Stelios and Natasa were very kind and helpful hosts, that made sure we were comfortable. They were always easy to talk to and reach on text, and Natasa gave us some really nice suggestions for places to go that we are grateful for. Kalyves was a perfect town to stay at for us, as we were driving to see different cities, beaches and areas around Crete. It was just far enough away from Chania to feel super authentic and secluded as a tourist, but close enough to visit in a short time. All in all we were extremely satisfied with our stay at Avra Apartments, and we recommend anyone visiting Crete to go there too! ❤️read less

Crockery, cutlery etc all of good quality and condition. A wonderful bowl of fruit, wine and water awaits your arrival. The apartments are situated in a quiet area of Kalyves but close to all amenities with a lovely Patisserie on the corner selling well known homemade cheese and spinach pies and lovely bread. Special memories of sitting on the balcony overlooking the sea watching the little fishing boats and sometimes the cruise ships could be seen making their way to Chania. Avra im September 2019 Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es mangelt an nichts. Die Gastgeber sind herzlich, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man wird neben der schönen Lokation mit Obst, Wein und Raki verwöhnt. 100 m entfernt ist ein Bäcker und kann auf einem der Balkone frühstücken. Einfach schön

For 10 days cleaning and change of towels 3 times! This is our 4 apartments in different countries and my husband and I decided that they were the best. The beauty around you even in small things. The seashell lamp is just wonderful) Our apartment was the biggest, 3 balconies.The beach is 15 minutes walk, and we went to a further in the same village. A supermarket close by.We were by car and up the hill to the apartment went up by car. The first time we stayed in the Kalyves Beach Hotel, which was very pleasant, but this time we decided to try something different. Natasa was very attentive during the booking process, she made it a very easy pocess, and she was so friendly in answering all of my many questions before our arrival. She arranged our transfer from the airport with George Terezakis, a neighbour of the Avra Apartments whose taxi service I would also highly recommend. Upon arrival we were met by a lovely lady called Anna who showed us our apartment (Sirokos). We absolutely loved the layout, decor and position of this apartment and all of its quaint Greek traits. This apartment has a fantastic sea view which can be viewed from three balconies. It had every amenity which could be wished for and many personal touches a hotel just would never be able to offer. Our towels and bedding were changed regularly and the toilet roll topped up - fantastic service. It was wonderful to meet Natasa in person; she was as friendly in real life as in her emails! We all hope very much to return to Avra Apartments in the near future.read less

The apartment are beautifully decorated with artistic personal touches of some lovely pictures. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and have a very modern elegant touch. Airconditioning gives great relief from heat when you need it. Fresh bedcolths toilet paper and towels were changed every two days. What I personally also liked very much was that the hosts are environmental orientated, and make it easy for any guest to recycle plastics, and is discreetly evident through tge provided recycling bags and the clean linen bags for shopping. On arrival we were greeted in an exceptionally friendly and forthcoming manner. Also a lovely bottle of vine and Raki was also part of the generous welcome. When we sadly had to leave we were given a beautiful hand painted goodbye present! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful scenic and relaxed place to stay. Suffice it to say they are absolutely beautiful and come highly recommended in every way. We slept wonderfully in the very comfortable king size bed and all the equipment, furniture and fittings are of a very high standard indeed – attention to detail is amazing and the lovely artistic touches give the warmth and comfort of one’s own home. The outlook from our terrace is stunning with a lovely view across Souda Bay. If there were more stars to award this property then I would indeed give it far more than five!!! On arrival, Levantes seemed smaller than I imagined from the pictures but it did not feel cramped at all for the two of us for a week. The location was ideal with everything in easy walking distance but also out of the centre enough to be peaceful. The hillside behind was full of spring flowers and happy birds so we could sit enjoying this, as well as the sea views and distant hills.read less

Gorgeous apartments. Fantastic stay Beautiful apartment with every thing needed for a fantastic stay. Lovely shower room, well equipped kitchen. Great location too, just loved it. Very helpful hosts nothing too much trouble. Even brought us some CDs to watch.

A very nice apartment in a very nice village. Lots of local tavernas nearby and a nice beach just down the road. The beds were very comfortable and the WiFi signal excellent. Stelio and his family were fantastic hosts and helped us with a number of things during our stay.

There are about 10 restaurants, butchers', bakers', hairdressers', rent-a-car offices, a supermarket in Kalyves. Around the village, you can go walking or visit Chania, 25 minutes by bus.read less

Na zewnątrz mały taras ze stołem, 4 krzesłami, parasolem i bocznym widokiem na morze. Całe mieszkanie prześliczne, urządzone z pomysłem i dużym smakiem. Niczego w nim nie brakuje. Nasi gospodarze przywitali nas talerzem owoców, winem i buteleczką rakii. Apartament jest sprzątany z wymianą pościeli co 4 dni, co 2 dni wymiana ręczników. Gospodarze pożyczą też parasol plażowy, ręczniki plażowe. Jest też kolekcja książek w kilku językach (ang, fr, niem i inne). Natasza lub Anna służyły pomocą w każdej potrzebie. Również mąż Nataszy, Stelios jest bardzo miły. Również rodzice Steliosa mieszkający po sąsiedzku ciągle nas czymś pysznym częstowali. Wrażenie było jakbyśmy byli u przyjaciół lub rodziny, a nie w wynajętym apartamencie. Kalyves to fajna duża wioska, nie typowo turystyczny moloch. Są tutaj sklepy, salony fryzjerskie, szkoła, poczta i inne instytucje, z których korzystają miejscowi. Wszyscy spotykani Grecy byli przemili. Do plaż idzie się około 10 minut, jest plaża w lewo od apartamentu, trochę za wioską, jest plaża w prawo, w centrum wioski. Na plażach leżaki pod parasolami należące do kawiarni. Wystarczy zamówić mały napój i można leżeć do woli. Wokół Kalyves gaje oliwne, pomarańczowe, dolina rzeki i cudowne widoki na Góry Białe. Świetne miejsce do relaksu.read less

Excellent help and support from Natasha and Anna. I recommend Avra apartments. Tips: Kalyves is a lovely quite village with many lovely attractions, walks and restaurants. For me the best restaurant serving tasty local cuisine it the Icarus which is 15 minute walk from Avra.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Natasa, Stelios and Anna – our lovely hosts who have become our dear friends. We stayed in the Levantes Studio which is absolutely beautiful. It is equipped with everything you could need for a self-catering holiday – plenty of pots and pans, cutlery and nice crockery. There are lovely imaginative touches as Natasa is very artistic. When we arrived Natasa had left a bottle of wine and rakki, together with a bowl of fruit for us. A coffee machine was also supplied together with a sandwich toaster and also washing up liquid, dishcloth, mosquito machine, a roll of paper towels and washing powder. We had a comfortable king-size bed with duvet and air con was included in the price. We had a large terrace overlooking Souda Bay with table, chairs, bench and large umbrella. Down a few steps was another patio area with a bench. The bathroom was also beautiful having been recently updated with luxurious fittings. Lovely white towels were supplied which were changed every two days and if you forget your beach towels, Natasa will supply them free of charge. I could go on and on extolling the virtues of the Avra but the review would be too long. Thank you again Natasa, Stelios and Anna we love you guys!!!read less

We stayed in the Ostria apartment which is towards the back of the complex but it had a cosy seating area with side sea views. The hosts Natasa and Anna were so helpful and kind. Many nice touches here such as the provision of honey raki and nuts on arrival. The walk up to the apartment is a little steep towards the end but you get used to it. The apartment is about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Kalyves which is a working Cretan town with a good range of small shops, a couple of bakeries and a few mini markets. The bus service from Chania is reliable and fairly regular. There's lots of decent places to eat. There's a good supply of guide books provided with local walks. Don't miss out on visiting Vamos, Gavalohori and Koumos. The first two can be reached by bus from Kalyves and the latter is a simple walk away.read less

Προσφάτως ανακαινισμένα, με τους ιδιοκτήτες να έχουν βάλει την προσωπική τους πινελιά στην διακόσμηση, η οποία ξεφεύγει από τις κοινότυπες περιπτώσεις δωματίων θερινής διαμονής! Πέρα από τα όμορφα δωμάτια, εκείνο που μας έκανε πολύ θετική εντύπωση ήταν η φιλική συμπεριφορά των ιδιοκτητών και η διάθεσή τους να μας εξυπηρετήσουν σε ότι τους ζητήσαμε! Αν και έχω πάει αρκετές φορές στην Κρήτη, οι πληροφορίες που μας έδωσαν για τα αξιοθέατα του νησιού ήταν τόσο αναλυτικές, γεγονός που σε έκανε να νιώσεις πως δεν έχεις δει τίποτα! 🙂 Το δωμάτιό μας ήταν καθαρό, ευρύχωρο με καλό γούστο στην διακόσμηση, διέθετε κλιματισμό, tv, κουζίνα, ψυγείο και μια εκπληκτική θέα στην θάλασσα, η οποία απείχε μερικές μόνο δεκάδες μέτρα. Το χωριό Καλύβες, διέθετε ότι χρειαζόμασταν από εστιατόρια, σουπερ μαρκετ, κτλ, όποτε εξυπηρετηθήκαμε άνετα. Βρίσκεται κοντά σχετικά στα Χανιά, με το πλεονέκτημα της δυνατότητας να μπορέσαμε να αποφύγουμε την πολυκοσμία και την φασαρία της πόλης, ενώ είμασταν αρκετά κοντά στο να την επισκεπτόμαστε όποτε επιθυμούσαμε. Αν μείνετε στα διαμερίσματα Avra, μην φτιάξετε καν πρόγραμμα για το νησί, ρωτήστε τον ιδιοκτήτη και θα σας πει με λεπτομέρειες ό,τι ψάχνετε να βρειτε 🙂

Πραγματικά μοναδικό, φιλόξενο, κοντά στα Χανιά, σε ένα πολύ όμορφο χωριό με υπέροχους ιδιοκτήτες, και το πιο σημαντικό για μένα είναι πάρα πολύ καθαρό.... Μπράβο Στέλιο και Χριστίνα! !!!

Η τοποθεσία προσφέρει θέα, τα δωμάτια καθαρά και περιποιημένα με μεράκι από τους εκπληκτικούς ιδιοκτήτες, μην ξεχάσετε να ρωτήσετε πληροφορίες για τις "αποδράσεις" σας στην Κρήτη, οι ιδιοκτήτες θα σας εκπλήξουν με τις προτάσεις τους!

Stelios was kind enough to leave us some fruits, water and bread. The kitchen is perfect to make meals! The apartment is located in Kalyves, which is a more family friendly area. The beach is a short walk away. I highly recommend Kritiko (restaurant near the center of Kalyves), the food was amazing! Stelios was very helpful when we had any questions and he helped us arrange a taxi for our midnight flight arrival. Our driver was even kind enough to drop off our bags at the apartment and then take us to look for food past midnight! My boyfriend loved the gyros from simon's (fast food joint). Chania is a short 20 mins drive. And the beautiful beach, Elafonassi is around 1.5hrs away. Thank you for the wonderful stay, Stelios! May 2015read less

Ευχάριστες διακοπές Καθαριότητα και συνέπεια.. ότι ακριβώς περιμέναμε μαζί με ένα ζεστό χαμόγελο από την Νατάσα. Όποιος έρθει θα περάσει σίγουρα όμορφα. Η Καλύβες είναι τέλειο μέρος . Ευχαριστούμε πολύ. Ηλίας & Μάϊα
