We had an amazing stay. Very peaceful apartment and close to the beach. We felt like at home. The apartment had everything what we wished for. We hope to come back soon. Strongly recommend it.

What a lovely apartment right up the road from the sea, up on a hill with a gorgeous view, surrounded by flowers and trees. It was an oasis and yet close to everything you may need in the area, with a bakery at the foot of the hill. Moreover, the hosts were so wonderfully attentive, made sure I had all I needed, with a familial warm. I hope to one day return and would recommend this place to anyone visiting the region and who wants to be close to Chania but also away from the crowds and traffic. Wonderful stay overall!

A very nice apartment in a very nice village. Lots of local tavernas nearby and a nice beach just down the road. The beds were very comfortable and the WiFi signal excellent. Stelio and his family were fantastic hosts and helped us with a number of things during our stay.

We spent 2 weeks in this cosy apartment and enjoyed it a lot. Everything was there, even a washing machine - which we did not expect. Natasa was always very helpful und the cleaning service was very sufficient. 2 terraces to choose where to have breakfast or dinner to enjoy the view and sun or shadow. Due to the steep road up to the apartments the parking may not be too easy for beginners, but cars can always be parked at the main street. Overall a highly recommendable location, with everything needed for a relaxing stay and very good and friendly service!

Avra apartments Stunning apartment with lots of space and beautiful touches. Fully stocked kitchen with different options for you to eat depending on the sun and time of day. The view across the bay is beautiful. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Kalives itself is a fairly quiet place with plenty of eating options. Plenty of space on the beaches, you can even swim from the rocks down from the apartment. We would love to return.

It was an amazing stay at a great location. Very close to beaches and close to the main road. Stelios and Natasa were very helpful with awesome recommendations for food, visitors advice and snorkeling spots. It was a beautiful apartment with all appliances you could need. We really enjoyed our stay at the Avra Apartments! The apartment we stayed in was immaculate and was really well-located for exploring the eastern and central parts of Crete. In addition, the owner/host (Stelios) of the apartment was really nice and had some great advice for exploring the various places we were planning to visit. If you’re looking for a great home base to explore Crete, we highly recommend staying at the Avra Apartments!
