Stelios and Natasa were great hosts.
The apartment was easy to find, clean and the whole interior was just as new.
It's perfectly located for travelling to Chania, Rhetymno and lots of other places.
A bakery is just a few meters away and there a lot of options for dining in Kalyves.

Getting in contact with Stelios and Natasa was easy, they responded quickly and they were nice and engaged all the time.

The AVRA apartment is one of the best Airbnb we have ever stayed. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. Great ocean view from the kitchen and balcony. Fully equipped kitchen. Walking distance to beaches, supermarket and restaurant. We wish we could stay longer.

Είχαμε την ευκαιρία να απολαύσουμε την διαμονή μας στα συγκεκριμένα διαμερίσματα! Προσφάτως ανακαινισμένα, με τους ιδιοκτήτες να έχουν βάλει την προσωπική τους πινελιά στην διακόσμηση, η οποία ξεφεύγει από τις κοινότυπες περιπτώσεις δωματίων θερινής διαμονής! ||Πέρα από τα όμορφα δωμάτια, εκείνο που μας έκανε πολύ θετική εντύπωση ήταν η φιλική συμπεριφορά των ιδιοκτητών και η διάθεσή τους να μας εξυπηρετήσουν σε ότι τους ζητήσαμε! Αν και έχω πάει αρκετές φορές στην Κρήτη, οι πληροφορίες που μας έδωσαν για τα αξιοθέατα του νησιού ήταν τόσο αναλυτικές, γεγονός που σε έκανε να νιώσεις πως δεν έχεις δει τίποτα! :)||Το δωμάτιό μας ήταν καθαρό, ευρύχωρο με καλό γούστο στην διακόσμηση, διέθετε κλιματισμό, tv, κουζίνα, ψυγείο και μια εκπληκτική θέα στην θάλασσα, η οποία απείχε μερικές μόνο δεκάδες μέτρα.||Το χωριό Καλύβες, διέθετε ότι χρειαζόμασταν από εστιατόρια, σουπερ μαρκετ, κτλ, όποτε εξυπηρετηθήκαμε άνετα. Βρίσκεται κοντά σχετικά στα Χανιά, με το πλεονέκτημα της δυνατότητας να μπορέσαμε να αποφύγουμε την πολυκοσμία και την φασαρία της πόλης, ενώ είμασταν αρκετά κοντά στο να την επισκεπτόμαστε όποτε επιθυμούσαμε.||Το συστήνω ανεπιφύλακτα!!!

Τέλεια φιλοξενία σε ένα καταπληκτικό διαμέρισμα! Το δωμάτιο (Sirokos) ήταν ευρύχωρο, πεντακάθαρο και άψογα διακοσμημένο με ολοκαίνουρια έπιπλα, αναπαυτικά κρεβάτια, άνετο σαλόνι με μεγάλη tv, γρήγορο ίντερνετ, πλήρως εξοπλισμένη κουζίνα, ευρύχωρο μπαλκόνι με θέα στη θάλασσα. Το διαμέρισμα βρίσκεται δίπλα από τη θάλασσα, με πλήθος καταστημάτων κοντά αλλά ταυτόχρονα έχει μια απόλυτη ησυχία που σε κάνει να θες να κάτσεις ατελείωτες ώρες στο μπαλκόνι. Οι ιδιοκτήτες φιλικότατοι, είναι κι οι ίδιοι ταξιδιώτες που έχουν γυρίσει όλο τον κόσμο οπότε ξέρουν ακριβώς πως θα φροντίσουν τον επισκέπτη τους. Να σημειωθεί το κέρασμα κατά την άφιξη μας αλλά και ένα δώρο έκπληξη που μας έκαναν κατά την αναχώρησή μας!

Ποιότητας και γούστου διαμερίσματα που δεν τους λείπουν τίποτα ώστε να απολαύσει κάποιος της διακοπές του στο επαρκο. Η Κα Νατάσα είναι πάντα εκεί διακριτικα για όποια βοήθεια κάποιος χρειαστεί. Πραγματικά τέτοιου είδους επενδύσεις σε συνδυασμό με τον επαγγελματισμο της όλης προσπάθειας αναδεικνύουν τον Ελληνικό τουρισμό ως προς του πως πρέπει να λειτουργεί και να είναι ένα τέτοιου είδους κατάλυμα.

We have just returned from our third visit to the Avra Apartments and had a wonderful time with the amazing owners Natasa and Stelios. Their welcome and hospitality is second to none and they really made as feel part of their family.||||I have posted two previous reviews on the Avra so they can be accessed for further information on the Apartments. Suffice it to say they are absolutely beautiful and come highly recommended in every way. We slept wonderfully in the very comfortable king size bed and all the equipment, furniture and fittings are of a very high standard indeed – attention to detail is amazing and the lovely artistic touches give the warmth and comfort of one’s own home. The outlook from our terrace is stunning with a lovely view across Souda Bay.||||If there were more stars to award this property then I would indeed give it far more than five!!! Thank you again Natasa and Stelios – we hope to see you again next year.

Stelios nous a bien conseillé sur les restaurants aux alentours
je recommande sans hésiter nous avons passé une superbe nuit !!

We had a very nice stay. We especially liked the small "village" the apartment is located in. I highly recommend this place. Especially if you have a car available. Visiting Rethymno / Chenai / Beaches or Hiking Trails is easy from this spot. It is worth mentioning that the host (Stelios) is a very nice person!

It was a pleasure to stay in this apartment. Natasa waited us at check in, there is a free parking spot at the apartment, had some fruits and other nice surprises in the apartment, we really appreciated it! 🙂 We enjoyed the area, 1 minute away from the sea and a couple more to the beach, nice bakery and restaurants/cafés also just a few minutes away; Kalyves is a nice and not so big city. Apartment is peaceful, we could have long sleeps 🙂 All in all, I gladly recommend it to anyone!

Fabulous apartment 😀 - We stayed in the Sirokos apartment, which was immaculately presented and decorated. The beds are very comfortable, as is the whole property, which was cleaned every 4 days during our stay. The property has filtered tap water, so there is no need for bottled water and the associated plastic waste, which is a fantastic plus point. The owners are on hand and extremely helpful. We hope to be back soon. 😞 - Nothing

Nous avons adoré notre séjour, appartement très bien situé, proche de la plage et du petit centre. Le logement est impeccable, propre, confortable, c’est comme à l’hôtel mais en mieux!

Best AirBnB we have ever stayed at. Communication was smooth, the beaches are beautiful and close by, the apartment is very well equipped and lovely. This place is run by super kind people which just made our vacation even nicer. 🙂
