We had an amazing stay at Avra apartments! Everything was perfect, the warm welcome, the cosy feel of the apartment. Everything was really well thought out, and there were lots of little touches that made it extra special. The hosts were so friendly, kind and helpful, making us feel really welcome. It was beautifully clean, and in the perfect location in Kalyves. Thank you for everything!

Tips for other travellers:
There are so many amazing walks in the area, it’s great to explore on foot or with the local bus service we especially loved walking to Douliana and having lunch overlooking the white mountains. Beautiful quiet beaches near to the Synka supermarket. Cactus is great for cocktails! You always get a warm welcome at Stella’s bar. There are some great Tavernas in Kalyves. Koumos is a must see!

We had an amazing stay. Very peaceful apartment and close to the beach. We felt like at home. The apartment had everything what we wished for. We hope to come back soon. Strongly recommend it.

Fabulous view We stayed at Avra (also known as Breezes) Apts in the top rooms (Siroko). The view was amazing, the bed was the most comfortable I've slept in in Greece, soft pillows, free with fi, air con, satellite TV,combination safe, full size cooker with oven, washing machine, brand name hairdryer and lots of other useful items too numerous to mention. 3 balconies on total.One very large overlooking the sea,one to the side catching the late afternoon sun and a third, smaller, for the washing.Anna the owner, and Natasa, were both very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us.Avra is about 15 mins slow walk to the nearest taverna (Akrigialos) - walk along the sea road,it's safer, and about 20-25 mins stroll to the far end of the village.The good news is, Anna's neighbour is a taxi driver and if you ask her she will organise a lift for you. (5 euros to the far end of the village.No price increase after midnight)The only downside was the fairly steep narrow road to the apartment.

Natasa est une hôtesse attentionnée et très à l'écoute.Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans cet appartement confortable . La literie était très bonne, la propreté irréprochable, les équipements très complets ( du grille pain à la machine à laver en passant par tous les ustensiles de cuisine utiles) et le logement à l'écart des bruits de la circulation.Ajouté à tout ça, la décoration faite maison avec goût et les petites attentions ( corbeille de fruits, raki) ont fait de notre séjour un moment très agréable pour débuter notre visite de la Crète.Je recommande vivement !

Genau das was wir suchten: schöne Unterkunft ( alles da was man braucht und sehr gute Matratzen) super Lage (Strand und Tavernen infußläufiger Entfernung) sehr nette, hilfsbereite Vermieter! Wir würden wiederkommen!

Very clean and nice place. The apartment is well equiped and everything was available for a pleasent stay. Really helpfull and friendly hosts. All the time we felt like at home. We would always return. Thanks for everything!

Le logement est parfait, très bien équipé, au calme. Jolies vues depuis les trois balcons !
Kalyves est l’idéal pour séjourner en Crète, village animé et préservé de l’afflux de touristes. La plage est très agréable, vous y serez bien !

We had a very pleasant stay with our 4 month old baby. The hosts where very accommodating and overall the apartment is well equipped. Location wise its super close to nice beaches and to the lovely villages around Vamos. Also Chania is easily reachable by car. All in all very recommended. Only downside were the sheets, but its typical for greece. I guess we are spoiled with our egyption cotton/satin fitted sheets🤣

Stelios offers a small and friendly arpartement for a reasonal price. The arpartement itself was clean and offerd an parking lot. The communication was quick and easy, all questions could be answerd beforehand. All in all a pleansant stay.

I can definitely recommend to stay with Stelios. He is the perfect host and the place is spotless.
Everything you need is a walking distance and Stelios makes sure you feel welcomed and comfortable.
