We loved staying here. It was very clean, well equipped and everything was just as in the pictures. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend staying at this place to friends who are planning on visiting Crete.

An amazing stay in Kalyves. The apartment is so well appointed with everything you would need. Stelios and Anna were so lovely & helpful through out our stay. The location is quiet and quaint and we would recommend to anyone who wanted a peaceful stay on Crete.

Fabulous stay Great views. Exceptionally clean. Beds are comfy. Air con amazing and we needed that at 37 degrees. Great showers hot water. Welcoming owners. Great location a stones throw from the main square and beach Absolutely no complaints. Thanks Natasa.

Nous recommandons à 200%, nous avons passé un excellent moment dans l'appartement de Stelios, idéalement situé et tout proche de la mer, l'appartement est décoré avec énormément de goût et est sur-equipé, on s'y sent comme à la maison, merci encore !

Der Aufenthalt auf Kreta hat uns wirklich, wirklich gut gefallen 🙂 Und ehrlicherweise haben die Gastgeber alles dazu beigetragen! - Die Kommunikation war stets schnell, freundlich und herzlich- Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, mit kleinen "Gastgeschenken" und Aufmerksamkeiten, die es uns ermöglicht haben, sich gleich wohl zu fühlen- Wir haben viele Tipps und Tricks bekommen, was wir auf Kreta noch unternehmen sollten und wie was funktioniert (z.B. mit Busverbindungen die rausgesucht wurden, etc.).Zum Airbnb:- Es ist wirklich alles genau wie auf den Bildern und die Wohnung ist wohnlich und vollumfänglich ausgestattet.- Es gibt wirklich nichts, was uns gefehlt hat, oder was wir während unseres Aufenthaltes vermisst hätten- Sehr schöne Lage, mit einem tollen Strand in der Nähe und auch in dem Ort kann man gut herumschlendern- Die Einfahrt ist etwas schmal - also achtet beim Mietwagen darauf, ein kleines Modell zu nehmen 😉 (reicht aber auf der Insel auch vollkommen aus)Wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt und bedanken uns für den tollen Urlaub bei Euch! One of the best places we have stayed at. Stelios and his wife, Natasa, are wonderful. They went above and beyond any host. The apartment was in immaculate condition. We quickly felt right at home. Our apartment was fully updated with very nice finishes. I highly recommend this apartment. They will treat you like family.

Beautiful apartments. Clean, stylish with a mediterranean "attitude"! Great hospitality. Definately recommended! Can't wait to stay again!

We have a great stay at Kalyves! Natasa was extremely friendly and met us at the airbnb, she gave us amazing recommendations and great directions to the airbnb. We had a beautiful view from the outside terrace of the water. The place was extremely clean and had all the amenities you need. It’s walking distance to the town of Kalyves and only a 20 mins drive to Chania. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this to anyone coming to stay here!

Τα δωμάτια βρίσκονται κοντά την παραλία του χωριού Καλύβες! Είναι ευρύχωρα, μοντέρνα και πολύ μεράκι διακοσμημένα και φυσικά πεντακάθαρα! Οι οικοδεσπότες πολύ φιλικοί και με διάθεση να σε εξυπηρετήσουν! Ο κος Στέλιος μας έδωσε πολλές πληροφορίες για την περιοχή, αλλά και για ολόκληρο το νησί, προτείνοντάς μας απίστευτα μέρη να επισκεφτούμε, που ξεπερνούν τα κλασσικά που αναφέρουν οι οδηγοί!!!

We have just returned from our third visit to the Avra Apartments and had a wonderful time with the amazing owners Natasa and Stelios. Their welcome and hospitality is second to none and they really made as feel part of their family.||||I have posted two previous reviews on the Avra so they can be accessed for further information on the Apartments. Suffice it to say they are absolutely beautiful and come highly recommended in every way. We slept wonderfully in the very comfortable king size bed and all the equipment, furniture and fittings are of a very high standard indeed – attention to detail is amazing and the lovely artistic touches give the warmth and comfort of one’s own home. The outlook from our terrace is stunning with a lovely view across Souda Bay.||||If there were more stars to award this property then I would indeed give it far more than five!!! Thank you again Natasa and Stelios – we hope to see you again next year.

Apartment had 2 lovely balconies, well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and good bathroom, and was super-clean.

Well-sited for beaches, restaurants, supermarket etc;

We had a very nice time there, and would recommend.
Tips for other travellers
Both beaches are good for swimming. Plenty of local circular walks. The walks to Armeni, and to the Koiliairis river and old Venetian windmill were particularly good.

Plenty of good tavernas to choose from.

Top Appartment - Top Meersicht - Top Still - Top Gastgeberin Das Appartement verfügt über ein ausgesprochen schöne Einrichtung - Toller Still. Die Betten sind Top und die Küche hat alles was man benötigt. Die Aussicht am Abend vom Balkon auf das Meer ist fantastisch und ruhig. Am Morgen kann man auf die seitliche Terrasse ausweichen wenn es zu heiss sein sollte. Klima Anlage in allen Räumen, ein super schönes Badezimmer...alles sehr schön. 50m entfernt ist eine Bäckerei und 1000m ein Supermarkt. Auch der Strand nähe des Supermarkts ist sehr schön.
