We had a really good stay! The location was perfect, close to supermarket, restaurants and the beach. Stelios and Natasa has been very helpfull with evertything.
We will definitely recommend staying at avra apartments!

Stelios was a wonderful host! The apartment looks newly renovated (or even just built)! Stelios was kind enough to leave us some fruits, water and bread. The kitchen is perfect to make meals! The apartment is located in Kalyves, which is a more family friendly area. The beach is a short walk away. I highly recommend Kritiko (restaurant near the center of Kalyves), the food was amazing!
Stelios was very helpful when we had any questions and he helped us arrange a taxi for our midnight flight arrival. Our driver was even kind enough to drop off our bags at the apartment and then take us to look for food past midnight! My boyfriend loved the gyros from simon's (fast food joint).

Chania is a short 20 mins drive. And the beautiful beach, Elafonassi is around 1.5hrs away.

Τέλεια φιλοξενία σε ένα καταπληκτικό διαμέρισμα! Το δωμάτιο (Sirokos) ήταν ευρύχωρο, πεντακάθαρο και άψογα διακοσμημένο με ολοκαίνουρια έπιπλα, αναπαυτικά κρεβάτια, άνετο σαλόνι με μεγάλη tv, γρήγορο ίντερνετ, πλήρως εξοπλισμένη κουζίνα, ευρύχωρο μπαλκόνι με θέα στη θάλασσα. Το διαμέρισμα βρίσκεται δίπλα από τη θάλασσα, με πλήθος καταστημάτων κοντά αλλά ταυτόχρονα έχει μια απόλυτη ησυχία που σε κάνει να θες να κάτσεις ατελείωτες ώρες στο μπαλκόνι. Οι ιδιοκτήτες φιλικότατοι, είναι κι οι ίδιοι ταξιδιώτες που έχουν γυρίσει όλο τον κόσμο οπότε ξέρουν ακριβώς πως θα φροντίσουν τον επισκέπτη τους. Να σημειωθεί το κέρασμα κατά την άφιξη μας αλλά και ένα δώρο έκπληξη που μας έκαναν κατά την αναχώρησή μας!

The location and the view from the house are outstanding.

We (3) enjoyed our stay a lot, also because of the beautiful apartment, the interior is modern, cozy and very nice and well-divided for 3-4 persons.
the views are excellent, so is the service (cleaning, warm welcome etc.). the kitchen is also very well-euqipped so no problem to cook and have meals at home.
we stayed in early november and also enjoyed the chimney 😉
Tips for other travellers
it´s an excellent home base for all short & long trips to Crete, especially in the eastern part (eg. Chania, Elafonisi, etc.); many restaurants etc. around, also directly in Kalyves, a nice beach is in walking distance, plus there´s a Almyrida just around the corner.

Stelios and Natassa are super hosts. Really.
Their generousity and good will were expressed from the very beginning when we contacted them through excelent responsiveness, answer to any question and cater to any need - be it related to the appartment, to Covid situation, to trip planning and what not.
We were greeted wonderfully and they spared no effort throughout our stay to make us feel comfortable, supported and homey.
This is exactly what we hope for when using the AirB&B platform, beyond all the physical parameters - having a friendly local host who is dedicated to help us make our visit a great success.

It was an amazing stay at a great location. Very close to beaches and close to the main road. Stelios and Natasa were very helpful with awesome recommendations for food, visitors advice and snorkeling spots. It was a beautiful apartment with all appliances you could need. What a lovely apartment right up the road from the sea, up on a hill with a gorgeous view, surrounded by flowers and trees. It was an oasis and yet close to everything you may need in the area, with a bakery at the foot of the hill. Moreover, the hosts were so wonderfully attentive, made sure I had all I needed, with a familial warm. I hope to one day return and would recommend this place to anyone visiting the region and who wants to be close to Chania but also away from the crowds and traffic. Wonderful stay overall!

Exceptional 😀 - Schöne, moderne Ausstattung. Freundliche und hilfsbereite Eigentümerin. Die Wohnung war wie auf den Fotos. Der Meerblick war allerdings etwas eingeschränkt, was auf dem Foto nicht zu erkennen war. Die Fenster lassen sich verdunkeln, haben allerdings keine Moskitonetze. 😞 - Die Straße und auch die Treppe zu unserer Wohnung war sehr steil. Der Parkplatz- und Wendebereich für 6 Wohnungen ist sehr begrenzt. Wir haben deswegen unten am Meer geparkt. Für Menschen die beim Gehen eingeschränkt sind, sind die Wohnungen eher nicht geeignet.

Abbiamo passato un magnifico soggiorno da Stelios e Natasa. Gli host erano estremamente gentili e disponibili a fornire consigli. L'appartamento corrispondeva alla descrizione sul sito: pulito e fornito di tutti gli accessori necessari. La posizione è ottima per poter visitare la parte occidentale dell'isola e nel caso uno non volesse spostarsi eccessivamente può utilizzare la vicina spiagga di Kalyves. Lo consiglio vivamente!
