We enjoyed our stays at Avra. Located in a peaceful small village, with few grocery stores, restaurants and bakeries near by. Kalyves beach is within walking distance too. Bus stop for local bus to Chania is just opposite the apartment and it only took 30mins to reach Chania. Overall, in love with this peaceful village and definitely will visit again.

Die Wohnung war perfekt. Es war alles liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Man kam an und fühlte sich sofort wie zu Hause. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Es gab frisches Obst und Schnaps zur Begrüßung. Natasa hat uns alles gezeigt und erklärt. Strandhandtücher gab es obendrauf. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen gern wieder.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und sauber. Die Kommunikation hat super funktioniert.

Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans ce petit duplex, parfait pour 2 personnes. On a vraiment apprécié les petites attentions des hôtes et leur gentillesse. De même cet appartement dispose de 2 terrasses qui ont fait notre bonheur. Kalyves est un petit village paisible doté d’une plage ( à 3mn du logement) et situé à 30mn de la Chania.

Absolutely amazing. Beautiful, well-maintained flat with all the facilities. Best of all, the owners and their family are very, very kind, making our stay unforgettable.

Tip: Kalyves is an authentic, lively village with all that a traveller needs, but without the traps of massive tourism. The beaches are beautiful, not crowded at all, you can reach them walking for 10 minutes or by car (no problem for parking nearby). There are about 10 restaurants, butchers', bakers', hairdressers', rent-a-car offices, a supermarket in Kalyves. Around the village, you can go walking or visit Chania, 25 minutes by bus.

Grazie a Stelios e a sua moglie abbiamo avuto il piacere di soggiornare in questo piccolo paesino. Ospitali, gentilissimi e super disponibili: un giusto mix per una vacanza rilassante.

Exceptional Very clean, large apartment, cull de sac and quiet location.

Fantastic apartment - just as it looks in the photos! Everything a guest could want is provided and we really appreciated the little extra touches, like the fresh fruit and the wine. It’s only a short walk to the sandy beaches, and to the local restaurants and shops.

La joie de poser ses valises en Crète pour la première fois et d'y être dans un si joli contexte. Très sympathiquement accueillis sur les lieux avec nos deux enfants, nous avons eu le bonheur de découvrir le vaste appartement avec grande terrasse (et vue merveilleuse sur la baie de Kalyves) qui allait devenir notre maison pour trois jours. ||Une bouteille de raki nous attendait, ainsi que du vin - la générosité crétoise ! ||Lieu parfait pour naviguer d'est en ouest aux alentours - ne surtout pas manquer la crique d'Ombrosgialos !||Nous reviendrons avec un immense plaisir et recommandons chaleureusement cet endroit en tous points superbe tenu par des gens adorables (un gros bisou à bébé Johanna en passant)

Frühlingsurlaub auf Kreta 😀 - Wunderschön gestaltete Appartements, sehr ruhige Lage, abseits vom Trubel und doch alles sehr nahe zu Fuss erreichbar, 2 Strände div. Tavernen und Läden. Kalives ist ein überschaubares nicht so touristisches Dorf, zumindest im Mai war es sehr entspannt und bei schönem Wetter war es herrlich mit einer Vespa das Hinterland Apokoronos zu erkunden, einfach wunderschön ganz ohne Verkehr... 😞 - nichts....

Very nice, well equipped apartment with lovely balcony with sea view. Beautiful village, large beach The host waited for us when we arrived and showed us in to the apartment. She was very helpful and gave us suggestions on places to visit and tavernas which were very good.

Just perfect! The accommodation is beautiful and very well equipped and new. The hostess is super friendly and fulfills all wishes.

The accommodation is perfect for exploring the west and south-west of Crete. We can also recommend the sandy beaches in Kalyves, which are also ideal for children. Just ask the hostess if you want to go on excursions or have a good meal. She always helps.
