Dreamy family vacation From the moment you step in you feel most welcomed as you will discover fresh fruits on the table, and cold water and raki in the refrigerator 🙂
This comfortable, clean and cozy place is ideal for a family. Stelios and Natasa, the owners, are always happy to help you with tips and recommendations for things to do in Crete. It's always a pleasure to stay at Avra. We'll be back soon!

We had an amazing stay at Avra apartments! Everything was perfect, the warm welcome, the cosy feel of the apartment. Everything was really well thought out, and there were lots of little touches that made it extra special. The hosts were so friendly, kind and helpful, making us feel really welcome. It was beautifully clean, and in the perfect location in Kalyves. Thank you for everything!

Tips for other travellers:
There are so many amazing walks in the area, it’s great to explore on foot or with the local bus service we especially loved walking to Douliana and having lunch overlooking the white mountains. Beautiful quiet beaches near to the Synka supermarket. Cactus is great for cocktails! You always get a warm welcome at Stella’s bar. There are some great Tavernas in Kalyves. Koumos is a must see!

The appartment was splendid, the view excellent - even better than on the photos. The appartment was clean, much bigger than imagined and the host was very nice.

Perfect for a small family 😀 - The place was well equipped and we even had a crib, baby chair and baby bathtub at our disposal which was very helpful with a 6 month old baby. The apartment had two terraces, one from where we had a view to the sea. There are good restaurants in the neighborhood and the beach is also quite close. Natasia and her husband were very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay in Avra Apartments and recommend it!

What a lovely apartment right up the road from the sea, up on a hill with a gorgeous view, surrounded by flowers and trees. It was an oasis and yet close to everything you may need in the area, with a bakery at the foot of the hill. Moreover, the hosts were so wonderfully attentive, made sure I had all I needed, with a familial warm. I hope to one day return and would recommend this place to anyone visiting the region and who wants to be close to Chania but also away from the crowds and traffic. Wonderful stay overall!

Already looking forward to booking again in the future! Amazing apartments in a wonderful location. We have just returned from our second trip to Kalyves. The first time we stayed in the Kalyves Beach Hotel, which was very pleasant, but this time we decided to try something different. Natasa was very attentive during the booking process, she made it a very easy pocess, and she was so friendly in answering all of my many questions before our arrival. She arranged our transfer from the airport with George Terezakis, a neighbour of the Avra Apartments whose taxi service I would also highly recommend. Upon arrival we were met by a lovely lady called Anna who showed us our apartment (Sirokos). We absolutely loved the layout, decor and position of this apartment and all of its quaint Greek traits. This apartment has a fantastic sea view which can be viewed from three balconies. It had every amenity which could be wished for and many personal touches a hotel just would never be able to offer. Our towels and bedding were changed regularly and the toilet roll topped up - fantastic service. It was wonderful to meet Natasa in person; she was as friendly in real life as in her emails! We all hope very much to return to Avra Apartments in the near future.

Absolutely looove this location. Extremely cute and cozy. Amazing views of the water and mountains. Natasa was a phenomenal host! My flight got delayed so I unfortunately arrive a little later than anticipated and she still greeted me with a big smile and treated me like a good friend. Very comfortable accommodations. She offered several great suggestions for food and activities. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Crete. Thanks so much!

Nice place, friendly people Nice place, close to Chania town. Amazing view and amazing people . Very clean and beatiful rooms. You can enjoy comfortable sleep. Also the rooms provide, air conditioning , sattelite TV and all the kitchen gadgets . Walking distance to the sea.

We stayed in these apartments with my mum and aunt. We had the 2 bedroom (2 + 2 kids) plus the 2 studios.||We had a fantastic time and Stellios and Natasa and all the family made us feel very welcome. The apartments were spacious and well equipped and the view especially from the 2 bed was fab. Great place to have breakfast. ||Stelios was very kind in lending us an extra buggy for the 15 min walk to the further beach! It's a nice place for families and couples.
