We have just returned from our third visit to the Avra Apartments and had a wonderful time with the amazing owners Natasa and Stelios. Their welcome and hospitality is second to none and they really made as feel part of their family.||||I have posted two previous reviews on the Avra so they can be accessed for further information on the Apartments. Suffice it to say they are absolutely beautiful and come highly recommended in every way. We slept wonderfully in the very comfortable king size bed and all the equipment, furniture and fittings are of a very high standard indeed – attention to detail is amazing and the lovely artistic touches give the warmth and comfort of one’s own home. The outlook from our terrace is stunning with a lovely view across Souda Bay.||||If there were more stars to award this property then I would indeed give it far more than five!!! Thank you again Natasa and Stelios – we hope to see you again next year.

Adorable place, adorable owners <3 The apartment is huge, clean, well equipped and really very cozy. The view of the sea is fascinating from the terrace and one of the bedroom either.
We were in contact with Natasa during our stay, who is an angel. Helped us in case any questions, added many proposals for trips with a child. Our 4 years daughter also loved the place, the sea, the food, the planty of programs. We spent here our Top 1 summer holiday. Thank you very much for everything!!! Highly recommended!

Stelios und Natasa sind hervorragende Gastgeber. Die beiden sind super nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Apartment ist meiner Meinung nach in natura noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Wir haben uns sofort total wohlgefühlt und sind total glücklich diese Unterkunft gefunden zu haben. Das persönliche Highlight war für uns der bestens ausgestattete Grill! 🙂 Wir kommen sehr gern wieder!

Το δωμάτιο (Sirokos) ήταν ευρύχωρο, πεντακάθαρο και άψογα διακοσμημένο με ολοκαίνουρια έπιπλα, αναπαυτικά κρεβάτια, άνετο σαλόνι με μεγάλη tv, γρήγορο ίντερνετ, πλήρως εξοπλισμένη κουζίνα, ευρύχωρο μπαλκόνι με θέα στη θάλασσα. Το διαμέρισμα βρίσκεται δίπλα από τη θάλασσα, με πλήθος καταστημάτων κοντά αλλά ταυτόχρονα έχει μια απόλυτη ησυχία που σε κάνει να θες να κάτσεις ατελείωτες ώρες στο μπαλκόνι. Οι ιδιοκτήτες φιλικότατοι, είναι κι οι ίδιοι ταξιδιώτες που έχουν γυρίσει όλο τον κόσμο οπότε ξέρουν ακριβώς πως θα φροντίσουν τον επισκέπτη τους. Να σημειωθεί το κέρασμα κατά την άφιξη μας αλλά και ένα δώρο έκπληξη που μας έκαναν κατά την αναχώρησή μας!

Stelio’s and his family were extremely attentive during our stay. The apartment was in a fantastic location, with walking distance to a beach, numerous restaurants and the super market. The apartment was clean and felt extremely safe. We were kindly gifted with a bottle of wine, some local treats, and coffee and tea etc. towels were supplied for our stay, and beach towels generously made available on request. The property is located next door to a taxi company which was super useful for our stay and on our request Stelios arranged for them to collect us from the airport on our arrival! All in all a fantastic stay, with hosts that went above and beyond to make us comfortable and happy during our stay.

Avra im September 2019 Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll eingerichtet und es mangelt an nichts. Die Gastgeber sind herzlich, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man wird neben der schönen Lokation mit Obst, Wein und Raki verwöhnt. 100 m entfernt ist ein Bäcker und kann auf einem der Balkone frühstücken. Einfach schön

Exceptional Lovely apartment with lots of beautiful furnishings. A fantastic couple run the place who went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and comfortable. There was a welcome tray with wine, raki and fruit. Tea and coffee were available. Very thoughtful. There was also a leaving gift- which was beautiful!

The car rental space next door which was guarded by two dogs who unfortunately messed and it wasn’t cleaned up by the owners of the land. This spoilt sitting outside a little.

Logement agréable et bien agencé, la vue de la terrasse est superbe et il y a de bons restaurants à proximité.
Stelios et sa femme ont été très accueillants.

Άψογα δωμάτια αλλά και τοποθεσία , καθώς και το προσωπικό εξίσου άριστο και εξυπηρετικό!! Άψογη επιλογή!!!

We had a wonderful vacation
in Stelios’ Apartment “Levantes” Everything was there we could think of, absolutely outstanding apartment with an amazing view over the sea and the mountains.
Stelios welcomed us super kindly in person. Communication was super easy and we could even borrow beach towels from Stelios.
The beach, a supermarket and some restaurants are reachable in only a couple of minutes to walk.
Thank you very much for everything again, we would love to come back and are glad that we decided for your apartment.

We really enjoyed staying at Stelios apartment! It is nicely furnished, the kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need for cooking and the view from the terrace is lovely. The neighborhood quiet, but you can find a grocery store, restaurants and bakery within 10min walking. Stelios has equipped the apartment in a way that we found everything we needed. Thanks a lot, we'll surely come back!

Fantastic apartment, I could live there 😀 - Such a nice apartment. Recently renovated but with a very nice blend of old (windows, doors and stairs) and new (floor, painted, USB-C sockets in the walls etc.) and super well equipped. The vibe in the apartment was sort of "Mediterranean" New Yorker apartment. We stayed in the two-bedroom "Sirakosa" apartment with sea view. We came here after a 2-week stay in Platanias, coming to Kalyves was a much more relaxed feeling and less touristy. Natasa was a great host as well. 😞 - Nothing to complain about but I do recommend having a rental car if you stay here and want to go anywhere else than Kalyves.
